Who We Are

Welcome

"Surely the Holy Spirit has gathered us together that we might worship God Almighty and leave this place in order to serve our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ, out in the world."  At Christ the King, this weekly greeting also declares that we believe God is actively working among us and has a mission plan for the world. We are privileged to be a part of it!

Our Purpose

The purpose of Christ the King is to share God’s love and will as we reach out to our neighbors.
We spread the word of God.
God uses us to change lives.

Our Principles

Jesus is Lord and Savior.
Gathering equips and empowers us to do his will.
Prayer guides us.
We share God’s love.

When you visit Christ the King...

It is our prayer that worship with us will be a blessing to you.  We practice open communion.  All who believe in the real presence of Christ within the bread and wine of the Sacrament are welcome at our Lord’s Table. Children who are not yet prepared for First Communion are invited to come forward with their hands folded to receive a blessing.

How We Worship

Join us in song and liturgy to hear God's word and share in Holy Communion.

We gather. We encounter God’s word. We share a meal at the Lord’s table. We are sent into the world together in Ministry.  Whether member or friend, we live out our baptismal calling through this community of faith.

We Are Lutheran

"Together in Jesus Christ we are freed by grace to live faithfully, witness boldly and serve joyfully."

“Marked with the cross of Christ forever, we are claimed, gathered and sent for the sake of the world.”  We believe we are freed in Christ to serve and love our neighbor. With our hands, we do God’s work of restoring and reconciling communities in Jesus’ name.
