TECHNOLOGY
Page Under Construction
Technology has played a significant role in serving Christ the King’s worshipers throughout the years. This role has never been more predominant than during the recent Covid 19 pandemic, when we at CTK, like many other religious institutions, were required to institute innovative techniques in order to continue to provide worship experiences for our congregation.
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have explored and experimented with multiple technology options to provide worship opportunities at CTK. Starting initially with just placing video-taped sermons on our web site, we expanded to online Zoom broadcasts, outdoor services, FM-services transmitted to cars, and restricted services in the Sanctuary and Narthex. We are now back to normal services in the Sanctuary. While we currently do not conduct outdoor or FM services, we still have the capability to return to these service options in the future, if necessary. In addition to in-Sanctuary worship, all services are captured on cameras used to videotape the worship services that can be accessed for viewing several hours after the service from this Website. We also can process these videos and produce DVD’s for viewing on a portable DVD-player. In addition, laptop computers may be signed out to play service videos. No internet, Wi-Fi, or passwords are required to operate either the DVD player or the laptops. These options provide the opportunity for worshippers who cannot attend services in the Sanctuary and do not have a computer or internet /Wi-Fi access to view worship services. It also enables those visiting shut-ins to “take the service to the shut-ins”. To access services on this Website, click on the button at the bottom of this page. To obtain a link to a previous worship service video or a DVD of a previous worship service (back to October 2020), or to sign out a laptop computer with a pre-loaded service video, contact our Administrative Assistant at 772-589-7117.
