Paula Ferguson
Paula Ferguson has been Christ the King’s music director since 2012. As music director, she plays both the organ and piano for all worship services and leads the choir. She began her music director career early, creating and leading a junior church choir when she was only 16. At the same age, she accompanied the choir and soloists for a Methodist Church in Rockland, MA.
Paula has served a variety of faiths with her musical abilities. In the Massachusetts area, she was an organist for a Christian Science church for five years and substitute organist at a Congregational Church and an Episcopal Church. She also sang soprano in the South Shore Choral Society in Massachusetts.
Locally, for five years she accompanied the Sterling Rhythm Band and Chorus on the piano when it visited nursing homes in Vero Beach.
In addition to her present position as music director at Christ the King Lutheran in Sebastian, she is accompanist for Temple Beth Shalom, Vero Beach, on an electric piano.
Paula had 10 years of piano training; she was classically trained through private lessons.
She obtained her LPN degree from Indian River State College and recently obtained her RN degree. She is currently a per diem nurse at VNA Hospice House, Vero Beach.
Paula is the mother of two sons and grandmother of two.
